Carriers’ updates on the Covid-19 situation
Very few times in history the world changed so much in such a short period of time. Even though sitting on a restaurant with friends, or having a stroll on the mall seam a faraway reality now, the truth is that, for many of us, it has only been a few weeks since we were carrying on with our daily activities, only half-listening to news about this virus that was taking over a far Chinese province.
Fast forward less than a month and almost every country is now on a daily count of cases. And, almost all of these countries are also currently implementing some degree of social distancing measures, or even a quarantine.
But we all still need to eat, to buy medicines, and to purchase some basic items like hygiene products, for example. For that reason, pharmacies, take-out restaurants, and markets are still operating. But, the whole point behind social distancing is to only visit those places when truly needed. That is why more and more people are turning into online shopping. Not just to buy that item that is a bit cheaper online, or that product that you can only find in a particular website, but for everything that is possible to buy without leaving your house.
And that’s when we are reminded that the world didn’t stop. It is slower, yes. But not on a standstill. Even though many of us are home, there are still other people moving what we can’t move, at least for now. Besides health workers, we have drivers, cleaning staff, law enforcement and, of course, delivery people, making sure that whoever can stay home do so, in the best way possible. And among those people are all the people who work in carriers.
By now it is probably very clear how important carriers are and will be during this Coronavirus crisis. And they know it as well. That’s why they keep working and, even more importantly, why they are taking increasing measures to keep everyone as safe as possible: from drivers to delivery people and, of course, to the final client receiving the packages. Besides that, they are also keeping up with governmental restrictions and recommendations as they are being implemented.
And since the changes have been ongoing, many carriers are sharing them on their websites, which is the fasted and most reliable source of information for everyone that needs to know how their operations are being affected (or not) by the outbreak. To make your life a bit easier (and let’s face it, we can all use a little easiness right now), we gathered the updating links from all of our logistics partners in one single page.

Let’s keep safe, informed and grateful towards all logistics workers that are keeping our houses and businesses supplied.
