Shiptimize’s updates for May/2020

Is it us or every month feels like a whole year now? There is just so much going on all around the world that sometimes it is hard to keep up.
And well, that also happens within our own world called “Shiptimize”. As a fully remote company, we were fortunate enough to be able to keep working on our product without any major changes. As a result, we have a lot of updates for our clients or for whoever is interested in optimizing their shipping process with an ever-evolving tool.
So, we decided to start publishing a monthly update on all the news and improvements we have on Shiptimize.

Shiptimize for Shopify is here!
Let’s start with the biggest of this month’s news: Shiptimize plugin for Shopify is live. That means that Shopify users in Spain, Portugal, and Brazil can already integrate their stores to our platform.
So, in case you have a Shiptimize account and want to connect your Shopify store click here to check out the installation guide. The installation is easy and quick!
And for all Shopify eCommerce owners out there that want to start optimizing logistics that don’t have a Shiptimize account yet, please provide us insights on your shipping profile here to have your account activated first.
Magento 2 plugin is also here
Shiptimize’s plugin for Magento 2 is now live as well. If you are a Shiptimize user and want to configure our Magento 2 plugin, click here to have access to the installation guide.
Again, if you were just waiting for the launch of our Magento 2 plugin to open your account, please send us a message with your shipping profile here so we can activate your account.
Improved functionalities for PrestaShop and WooCommerce
In May we have further upgraded both our PrestaShop as well as our WooCommerce plugins.
As soon as you update to the latest available plugin version you’ll be able to easily duplicate carriers to offer your customers different service levels or additional extra delivery options (e.g. cash on delivery). Also, now you can automatically export WooCommerce orders into your Shiptimize account and which will save you another click.
New carrier In Brazil: Total Express
Our customers in Brazil now also have a new shipping method available. Our integration with Total Express is ready for use.
Shipping from Portugal? We have a new carrier integration and added services from CTT.
New carrier integration: Via Directa – Deliveries in 1 to 4 hours.
We have great news for our clients in Lisbon and Porto: you now have an extra fast delivery choice for working days between 8h30 and 19h.
Via Directa offers 1h, 2h, and 4h delivery options with great negotiated rates for Shiptimize clients. If you are a Lisbon or Oporto Shiptimize client, that option is already activated in your account.
Schedule CTT Pick & Return and Pick & Ship right from the Shiptimize platform
From now own, CTT will automatically bring the shipping label when you choose the Pick & Return and Pick & Ship services. That means that in case the parcel should be picked up at a different address than your own, either to be returned to you or shipped to another location, you can now book those services within your own account.
New services for CTT
Shiptimize’s users in Portugal now can choose from new services provided by CTT such as 48h delivery, extra insurance, cash on delivery, and the option to choose for your parcel to be delivered in selected delivery windows.
Apart from the above updates we’ve also had some bugs fixed to provide you with an even smoother experience. Please, remember to reach out to us in case you have other suggestions on how we can further improve our software.
Improved pick-up scheduler
Now, our pick-up scheduler only allows you to choose from Monday to Friday, which will prevent system errors between our platform and the system our partner carriers.
