Shiptimize’s updates for June/2020
Reading Time: 3 minutes
Has a month already gone by since the last update, really? Thankfully we made very good use of that month and now we have some new and interesting stuff to share.
Live rates in Brazil
The top one request we get from clients and leads is to have live rates in our platform. And it is something we always aimed at having. Well, the first step has been taken as we now have live rates in Brazil!
For now, they are available for Correios and Jadlog but we will keep working in this important tool so more carriers are implemented and also so we can soon offer that great feature in Portugal and Spain as well. Stay tuned.
Jumpseller is a Portuguese eCommerce platform that is also very popular in South America. And now, we have joined forces so Jumpseller users not only have access to their templates, payment, and marketing options but also to a great integrated shipping process, that comes with excellent rates and many different services regarding deliveries. Yes, now it is possible to integrate Shiptimize with Jumpseller, which makes it a full eCommerce solution.
You can check out how to integrate Shiptimize to Jumpseller right here and have a full new store running in a matter of hours.
As pretty much everything else in the world, our platform also has room for improvements. That is why we are always working on making Shiptimize a platform that offers an even more seamless experience month by month. Here’s what has been improved in June:
Improved deliverability for your automated tracking emails
Clients are usually eager to know where their orders are. That is why it’s important to be sure that they received the tracking e-mails you’ve automated on Shiptimize. This last month we’ve made a few changes on our e-mails template to help them reach your client’s inbox with less friction.
And if you want to further increase the deliverability of your e-mails, here’s a tip: add ‘include:pakketmail.nl‘ in your SPF record on your e-mail server. Does this sound like Chinese to you? We suggest you ask your hosting provider to take care of this.
The world is full of information, so it’s nice to have some sort of filter that helps you focus on what’s important. Having that in mind, your account will only show eCommerce integrations that are relevant to you and to the country you ship your orders from.
Ship from address
In case you only had one ‘ship from’ address in your account and you were not able to see the ‘Switch to Upload’ button at Shipping > Create Shipment, now you do. That means that the CSV Upload functionality is now part of how you can upload shipments to your shipping account.
Remember that in May CTT started taking shipping labels along with them on the services Pick & Return and Pick & Ship? Well, the lack of creating a shipping label in our platform created some doubts among some of our clients. To make the whole process clearer, now, when you choose one of these two services, we will show you a “staged” shipping label, that will show the information about CTT being responsible for the actual valid label, so you can rest assure you don’t need to create or print a label.
Also, pick-up schedulers for all Portuguese carriers have been further improved to also take bank holidays into account, as the service is not available in those days. That means that it will no longer be possible to schedule invalid pickups on those days.
Did you know that now, Tourline Express is called CTT Express? Yes. And we also improved how we report back Error messages from them when a shipment is declared. In practice, this means that if, when declaring your shipment to CTT Express, you run into an error, an exclamation point will be seen in the ‘Shipments overview’ tab, in your Shiptimize account. To see what the exact error is about please click the shipment and check your ‘Status history’.
Are you running into an issue on the platform or do you have suggestions on how to further improve? Please send us a message in firstname.lastname@example.org. We’re happy to hear your inputs.
